Through its division Port and Material Handling, TTS Marine ASA has landed contracts regarding delivery of port equipment worth approximately NOK 30m. The deliveries will take place during 2007.
Parts of the deliveries concerns cassettes along with moving equipment (‘translifters’). The system is designed for transport of containers in port as well as moving containers on and off RoRo vessels. (‘Roll on/Roll Off container vessels’). TTS Marine ASA’s subsidiary TTS Liftec OY located in Tampere in Finland is the division’s supplier of this kind of equipment.
TTS Port Equipment AB, Gothenburg has landed a contract regarding delivery of a linkspan. The linkspan act as a bridge between the port and RoRo ship. Linkspan is one out of several products for material handling in port in TTS product range.
The market for material handling systems is rapidly growing, and big investments are made to increase efficiency and speed when loading and unloading ships. TTS offers several systems which vary from manually controlled equipment to fully automated handling systems.
