TTS – New contracts in Germany Through its subsidiary companies TTS-LMG Marine Cranes GmbH in Lübeck and TTS Ships Equipment GmbH in Bremen, TTS Marine ASA has landed a contract worth approximately MNOK 100 for delivery of deck cranes and hatch covers for 6 vessels, to be delivered by the end of 2006.
The contract has been signed with Münchmeyer Petersen Marine GmbH (MPC) in Hamburg. The vessels will be built at the ENVC Shipyard in Viana do Castelo, Portugal. This is the first joint contract between TTS Ships Equipment GmbH and the newly established TTS company, TTS-LMG Marine Cranes GmbH. The contract has been entered into on the basis of a longstanding cooperation between TTS Ships Equipment GmbH, yard, ship-owners and MPC.
For TTS Ships Equipment GmbH, the contract involves construction and delivery of key components for hatch cover systems.
For TTS–LMG Marine Cranes GmbH, the contract involves delivery of 12 large cargo cranes, 2 for each vessel, both with a capacity of 450 tonnes single lift.
The company has received new orders in the region of MNOK 120 in 2005. Orderbacklog, so far, are considerably higher than expected, and is an important part of TTS’s initiative in the cargo crane market.
